SIG Satellite Symposium: Pain, Mind and Movement III
Sunday August 29th, 2010
Montréal, Canada

“Pain, Mind and Movement III” a satellite symposium of the 13th World Congress on Pain.

This multidisciplinary symposium will examine basic, applied and clinical evidence relative to pain, mind, and movement.  Knowledge translation in general and in the context of pain, mind and movement will be a key theme and a specific focus.  This multidisciplinary session will be appropriate for, and of interest to basic scientists, clinical scientists and clinical practitioners.

Participants will learn: 1) physiological, psychological and sociological factors that underlie and are involved in the perception, expression, and impact of pain and movement; 2) measurement and methodological issues related to the experimental and clinical study (including imaging) of pain and movement; 3) the impact of pain and movement difficulties on the individual and society; 4) a critical appraisal of treatment approaches for the management of pain and movement dysfunction; 5) the challenges of knowledge translation and methods to address them.

The impact of PMM III is sure to extend around the corner, around the world, and beyond August 29th, 2010.

We look forward to seeing you there!
